The Calendar was developed by Sean, combining two of his previously marketed effects - MagiDate and CelebriDate. The result is a mind-blowing, multi revelation routine that also has the emotional hook of relating to the spectator's birthday.
The Calendar uses 1464 custom images (366 x 4), and gives the performer the option of using 4 force cards (Ace of Hearts, 2 of Hearts, 3 of Hearts and 4 of Hearts) which allows repeat performance opportunities. Of course, the performer can also just use one force card too!
The Effect
The performer explains how a pack of playing cards can represent a calendar, with each date being represented by a specific playing card - hence everyone has a specific playing card associated with their birthday.
A pack of cards is handed to the spectator who FREELY SHUFFLES the deck.
The spectator opens a photo which has been sent to them, but holds it close to their chest unseen. The performer explains this is a photo of a calendar page which they feel will relate to them.
The spectator shares their birthday date, and then is invited to quickly look at the top of the photo where they see that the month matches their birthday month! (First revelation)
The spectator fairly selects a card (this is a very hands off handling, where the spectator does all the work!!!) - this is left face down on the table. They then look at the bottom of the photo - there is a grid with dates in, and a card alongside each date. They look at their birthday date - the Ace of Hearts..... The selected card is turned over - IT'S THE ACE OF HEARTS! (Second revelation)
Finally, the spectator is drawn to the photo in the centre of the page - at the bottom of the image is the birthday of the famous person in the photo.... THEY HAVE THE SAME BIRTHDAY!!! (Final revelation)
The Calendar requires just a regular deck and of course Inject! The deck isn't stacked, so the effect can be instantly repeated too.
